  • RDT reinforces its commitment to innovation in the automotive sector by joining AVIA, the Automotive Cluster of the Valencia Region.

  • RDT stands out for its proven experience and influence in the automotive sector through its subsidiary in Barcelona.

  • Joining AVIA opens up new opportunities to collaborate with key players in the automotive and mobility sector.

RDT, a company specialising in integrated engineering and technology solutions for the main industrial sectors, has joined AVIA, the Automotive and Mobility Cluster of the Valencia Region. This milestone represents a strategic step in RDT’s commitment to contribute to the development of the automotive and mobility sector in the region, promoting innovation, competitiveness and sustainability.

In this context, the RDT branch in Valencia, which belongs to the subsidiary based in Barcelona, has emerged as a strategic core of knowledge and specialisation in the automotive and mobility sectors. The integration into AVIA reinforces its position as a key player in the Valencia region, standing out for its contributions in applied engineering, product design and process integration, as well as in developments in advanced technologies in Electrification, Autonomous Driving (ADAS), Connected Car and Cybersecurity.

AVIA, recognised for its role as a catalyst for innovation and competitiveness in the region’s automotive industry, brings together more than 120 companies linked to the sector. Its mission is to promote collaboration, the development of sustainable solutions and the exchange of knowledge among its members.

RDT’s entry into the cluster also reflects its commitment to excellence, sustainability and collaboration as drivers of transformation and growth. As the automotive industry faces new challenges, such as the transition to more connected vehicles and the development of autonomous technologies, RDT reaffirms its determination to lead change and contribute to the future of the sector.

The impact of joining AVIA

With RDT’s entry, AVIA adds a new member with a vast experience in the automotive sector and a focus on advanced engineering and innovative technology. This positioning will allow RDT not only to benefit from the collaborative ecosystem of the cluster, but also to bring its experience and know-how to enrich the regional landscape.

‘Valencia continues to be a very important location, and this is reflected in RDT’s strategic and business plan. The importance of Valencia and the Valencian Community as a whole is not only because of the Ford and Power Co. tractor companies, but also because of all the suppliers and companies in the sector, from Tier 1 to the rest of the value chain’, Juan Luis Roig.

‘Being part of AVIA represents a unique opportunity for RDT, especially for its activity in Levante and for our office in Valencia. This step will allow us to work more closely with key players in the sector in the region, develop joint projects and advance our commitment to automotive and mobility’, highlights RDT Barcelona director Sergio Mompó, who added: “Our team is excited about the opportunities that this collaboration will provide to boost innovation and value creation in a sector in which we have a lot to contribute”.

For Juan Luis Roig, RDT’s area manager, ‘Valencia continues to be a very important location, and this is reflected in RDT’s strategic and business plan. The importance of Valencia and the Valencian Community as a whole is not only because of the Ford and Power Co. tractor companies, but also because of all the suppliers and companies in the sector, from Tier 1 to the rest of the value chain’.

The incorporation of RDT into AVIA, therefore, responds to the recognition of the company, a Spanish multinational, of the role of the Automotive and Mobility Cluster of the Valencian Community as the reference and representative entity of the sector. ‘Our presence in AVIA responds to our objective of joining a project that generates added value to the sector’. It is not only for networking,’ Roig acknowledges, ’but also for the synergies for the development of projects with other partners and to be in contact with the reality and current affairs of the sector.
